for this position.

Requirements:

PCB 2007 from Mentor Graphics.

two new long-term contract openings for
Electrical Designers--one is for a senior-
level designer with ten-plus years of
experience as a cable designer--the other
opening is for a junior-level designer with
0-5 years of experience. All applicants
MUST be US Citizens and be eligible to
receive Secret Security Clearances. All
work is on-site

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Produce full documentation of various
system interconnect (cable and harness)
designs based on rough sketches and/or
verbal instructions from staff.
- Develop logic diagrams, schematics,
design layouts, and basic calculations to
support design concepts.
- Produce finished manufacturing
documentation consisting of block diagrams,
schematics, cable drawings (including
connector selection), and wire diagrams
(including wire types/sizes and wire run
lists).
- Prepare engineering release and change
documentation, as well as assist
responsible engineer in producing
fabrication orders.
- Support the entire fabrication and
assembly process, as required.

REQUIREMENTS:
-Must have extensive (working knowledge for
Junior Designer) knowledge of
cables/harnesses, electro-mechanical
packaging, electrical manufacturing and
assembly methods, 3D & 2D CAD (Computer
Aided Design) software, PDM (Product Data
Management) software, drafting practices,
and ASME and IEEE standards.
-A minimum of ten (10) years experience as
a cable designer, including a minimum of
six (6) years experience on CAD, PDM, and
schematic capture software.
(for Junior Designer job, 0-5 years of
experience is fine)
-Experience on PTC/CoCreate OneSpace
Drafting and Model Manager preferred but
not required.
-Familiarity with ASME/IEEE standards and
established practices in aircraft, missile,
spacecraft and ground support equipment.
-Should be capable of developing own
concepts, design layouts, and basic
calculations to support design concepts.
Must have good communication skills,
require little or no supervision, and
possess good creative skills.

FPGA Engineer should have experience with

-FPGA design, VHDL and Verilog-based
compilation designs, RTL level design,

(FIFO, SRAM, and register file generators)
as well as testability and test vector R
generation; Engineer should also have
experience with SDRAM interface controller,

-Create schematic symbol and footprint
geometries for component Library database.
-Maintain part number to symbol/footprint
relationships in Oracle DxDatabook database.

new library components.
-Evaluate new tool releases with subsequent
configuration, rollout and support of
networked PCB design flow.
-Create and deliver in-house training
classes in this design flow.
-Provide one-on-one technical support to
more than 60 internal users.
-Write and publish Tool FAQs, Technical
Application Notes, and Welcome pages on-
line.

REQUIREMENTS:
-BSEE/BSET or equivalent related
experience.
-Must have 6 years experience in EDA, with
at least 3 years in Mentor Graphics
DXDesigner/Expedition tools (ex: performing
CAD Admin / librarian functions or
schematic circuit design in this CAD design
flow). -Strong Linux/Unix experience.

Responsibilities:

-Follow applicable codes and standards
while implementing electrical system
designs and preparing working drawings and
specifications under the supervision of an
engineer
-Select and size materials, fixtures and
equipment (including conduit and wire)
based upon performing necessary
calculations and other design criteria and
standards
-Make field investigation to determine the
nature of existing conditions, resolve
design and implementation issues, verify
satisfactory results, coordinate work with
other disciplines, perform start-up, etc.
-Prepare cost estimates based upon
conceptual designs, final designs and other
criteria -Prepare basic technical specification for
equipment/material procurement and
installation by a construction contractor
-Review shop drawings submittals for
compliance with the drawings and
specification and recommending
approval/disapproval by the engineer.

Qualifications:

-Must have experience with AutoCAD
computerized drafting
-Applicant should have an Associates Degree
in Electrical Engineering from a technical
school or equivalent experience
-Ten years or more experience in the design
and installation of in-plant facilities
associated with research laboratories,
clean rooms, computer rooms, and office
buildings is required.
-Should have experience working for a
