Our client has an IMMEDIATE need for proofreader with three-plus years of experience essential. Financial experience a plus. Ad agency experience also a major plus. The contract will start out at 3 months, at which point our client may decide to make the position a long-term need. All work to be done on-site.

Summary: Proofread various test forms and other educational documents for grade levels K-12. Proofread proposals and directories. Edit manuals, ensuring that the documents are grammatically sound and easy to understand. Other responsibilities include reviewing the layout and graphics, making sure to check for consistency and clarity.
Qualifications: Bachelors Degree Required. Associates Degree also qualifies. Two to three years experience proofreading/editing in publishing industry recommended, but not essential. Familiarity with and experience using the Chicago Manual of Style. Very good written and verbal communication skills.
