Facilities Space Planner/Move Coordinator
SUMMARY: One of our top clients in Lexington, MA has an urgent need for a Facilities Space Planner/Move Coordinator with at least three years of applicable experience for an immediate, long-term contract opportunity that will start out at a year with possible extension. All of the work will be done on- site--no per diem arrangements for this assignment. Applicant must be a US Citizen and be eligible to receive Secret Security Clearance.
RESPONSIBILITIES: -Coordinates the planning, scheduling and execution of employee moves of all sizes on a daily basis. -Communicates with all departments and contract companies in scheduling move activities. -Schedules & conducts move meetings to coordinate all move activities. -Inspects the work areas affected by move plans to ensure that all areas affected by the move are properly prepared for incoming employees. -Provides post-move follow up to offer assistance with post-move problems of all kinds. -Coordinates move activities with building management & security in order to ensure that all necessary building functions needed (i.e. elevators, loading dock, security officers, A/C, etc.) are available throughout the move. -Provides space-planning services for clients to assist in the proper placement of offices, rooms, systems furniture & employees within established guidelines. -Produces drawings for client review and feedback. -Updates and maintains AutoCAD space drawings & floor plans for all buildings. -Updates and maintains space database including employee name and department, and size and function of space. -Performs periodic building audits to verify that employee locations and room configurations are correctly notated on floor plans and in space database. -Maintains a professional business relationship with all client contacts. -Produces management reports of various move-related statistics and graphs.
HELPFUL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: -Applicant must have the proper technical skills, including Autocad and design experience for laying out rooms, furniture, etc. -Ideal candidate should have experience working on a site that qualifies as a corporate campus. -Candidate should have good customer service skills-- the ability to talk to customers and act as the face of the group.

Summary: -Responsible for infrastructure upgrades and maintenance of steel and concrete structures as well as associated cost estimating. -Responsible for design of new structures as well as revisions to existing structures, office and laboratory systems— including architectural design and space layout, floor, ceiling, wall and hardware selection and specification in a R&D environment.
Responsibilities: -Be familiar with building systems to include structural/architectural portions of projects, including all of the following systems; floors, ceilings, walls, finishes, hardware, space layout, etc. -Writing of detailed specifications for structural and building systems. -Provide computer system design using AutoCad 2009. This position requires an individual able to create and input, by computer, facilities design layouts. -Check and approve product submittals, and shop drawings. -Generate preliminary and final cost estimates. -Be prepared to discuss or negotiate costs with Project Managers. -Make field and design studies and write reports as may be required. -Inspect and analyze field conditions, make required calculations and coordinate work among disciplines. -Attend job coordination meetings, assist and advise project managers, field engineers, and contractors. -Write design criteria and outline specifications for projects that require outside consultant assistance and review their drawings and specifications during the design process as well as at completion of design. -Conduct evaluations of finished work. -Be familiar with applicable building codes (IBC and Massachusetts) and design for conformance.
Technical Background and Skills: -At least three years experience in design. -Minimum of two years experience in CAD design. -Experience in the design of buildings and other structures. -Ability to be self-motivated and work with others. -Experience in the installation of facilities associated with research laboratories, clean rooms, computer rooms and office buildings would be desirable.
