Our client has an urgent need for a
Principal Technical Writer with a strong
background in writing for a software
engineering audience.

SUMMARY:
Technical Writer will provide overall
technical writing support for the embedded
software group. This includes development of
documentation plans, writing new and
updating existing documentation for two
product lines. Types of documents include
release notes, user guides, help systems,
API references, white papers, training
materials, technical notes, quick starts,
etc. The Writer will work closely with
engineering and the overall product
development teams in delivering quality
documentation, to schedule.

MORE DETAILS:
Some of the documentation has existing
source material, although there is one new
product that needs to be written from
scratch. This is a lead writing role; there
is another writer within group, but this
person is working on a separate product line.

-Collaborate with engineers, to gain an

This position requires excellent oral
and written communication skills with
a preference for a candidate with basic
understanding of data networking and
technical support concepts.
Responsibilities:

(SOP's) and/or "how to" user guides and
application guides.
-Study drawings, specifications,
mockups, and product samples to
integrate and delineate technology,
operating procedure, and production
sequence and detail.
-Observe production, developmental,

on-line (internet/web-based)
documentation.
-Provide presentations and training to
